Stevie Mitchell is a guard for the Marquette Golden Eagles and plays as a senior in the 2024-2025 season. Mitchell hails from Reading, Pennsylvania, and attended Wilson High School. During the 2023-2024 season, he returned to the starting lineup after a hamstring injury. Mitchell was a major contributor on the defensive end, leading the team with 62 steals in BIG EAST conference games with an average of 1.88 per game. He posted a career-high nine rebounds in back-to-back games against Creighton and UConn. Mitchell was remarkable against WKU, scoring 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and three blocked shots. During the 2022-2023 season, Mitchell played in every game, starting all 36 games, and registered multiple double-digit scoring games, including a career-high 19 points at Villanova. He led the team with 17 points and a career-high six steals against Xavier. In his freshman season, Mitchell played in 32 games, making an instant impact in his first game with 14 points, four assists, and four rebounds against SIUE.

Stevie Mitchell had a remarkable high school career at Wilson High School in Pennsylvania. He was the Pennsylvania Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Mr. PA Basketball in the 2020-2021 season. Mitchell won the Berks Player of the Year twice and led the league in scoring in his final two seasons. He also guided the team to back-to-back league championships. Mitchell finished his high school career with 2,060 points, ranking him fourth in the league’s history. During his senior season, he averaged 25.6 points per game, the highest mark in 20 years. As a junior, he earned a spot in the all-state first-team, leading Wilson to its first-ever district championship while averaging 22.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game. He earned a selection in the all-league and all-county teams during his sophomore year, for averaging 20.6 points per game. He also played AAU Circuit for Philly Pride, where he helped the team win the national championship in 2019, and was also named the MVP. As of March 2025, Mitchell has averaged 10.9 points, and 4.1 rebounds with 1.5 assists per game during his senior season (via ESPN).
