The Syracuse basketball team, known as the Syracuse Orange, represents Syracuse University in collegiate basketball. The team joined the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 2013 and has been a member ever since.
The Syracuse Orange basketball team has made 41 appearances in the NCAA tournaments, as of November 2024. Throughout their career, the team has claimed three overall National Championships and one NCAA Tournament championship. Additionally, they have been National Runners-up twice. The Syracuse Orange basketball team plays their home games at the JMA Wireless Dome, which is located on the campus of Syracuse University in the University Hill neighborhood.

Adrian Autry is the head coach for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team. On March 8, 2023, Autry was promoted to head coach of the team, following head coach Jim Boeheim's departure after 47 years of serving as head coach.
Adrian joined the Syracuse Orange basketball team as an assistant coach in 2011. He was eventually promoted to associate head coach in 2016. After college, Autry pursued a professional basketball career. He was undrafted in the NBA. However, he played for the Syracuse basketball team as a point guard from 1990 to 1994. Autry started his coaching career as an associate head coach at Bishop Ireton High School in 2006.

Assistant Coach
Dan Engelstad, Allen Griffin, and Brenden Straughn are the assistant coaches of the Syracuse Orangemen's basketball team, as of November 2024. Allen Griffin was named an assistant basketball coach in April 2017. Griffin primarily works with the centers at Syracuse and is also involved in recruiting and opponent scouting for the team. Brenden Straughn joined the Syracuse men's basketball program as an assistant coach in March of 2023. He earned his first collegiate assistant coaching job at Loyola Maryland in the 2018-19 season. Dan Engelstad joined the Syracuse program earlier in 2024 after serving the past six seasons as the head coach of the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers men's basketball team.
