Her performance earned her recognition as a McDonald's All-American and placed her among the top recruits nationally.

After a year at South Carolina where she played limited minutes on a talented roster, Cooper transferred to the University of Tennessee for the 2023-2024 season. In defense, she leads the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in steals with an average of 3.5 steals per game.
