Tamin Lipsey, born on June 25, 2003, is a talented American basketball player who has left an indelible mark on the court throughout his collegiate basketball career. Hailing from Ames, Iowa, the 21-year-old guard started his high school career at Ames High School where he won the Gatorade Player of the Year during his senior year. Lipsey averaged 16.3 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game during his high school career. He also won a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA U16 Championship.

Lipsey was a three-star prospect and was ranked the No.30 point guard by 247Sports.His journey from high school to collegiate basketball stardom began with the Iowa State Cyclones. His physicality and strength allow him to hold his ground against much bigger players. On the year, he’s averaging 12.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.

He has been selected as the finalist for the Naismith National Defensive Player of the Year award. Lipsey has won multiple awards this season, including an Honourable Mention All-American by the Associated Press.
