According to On3, Reed Jr. signed a deal with Tommy Fund, a nonprofit organization called the Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer that offers children with cancer and their families emotional, medical, and financial help.

According to On3, MGoDAO, a collective with an emphasis on Michigan, is trying to produce something unique in the collegiate sports scene. To empower Wolverine student-athletes and improve the Michigan fan experience, MGoDAO is establishing the first decentralized autonomous organization for collegiate sports.

Jalen Rose Leadership Academy

Northwest Detroit, Michigan is home to Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, an open-enrollment charter high school. Jalen Rose was one of its co-founders. In 2014, it was said to be in collaboration with the University of Detroit Mercy. Reed Jr. signed a deal with Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in August 2023.
