A look at JuJu Watkins inspired USC team for the upcoming season

JuJu Watkins' freshman year last season turned out to be a spectacular one as she averaged 27.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

The LA, California, native led the Trojans to a 29-6 overall record with the Pac-12 tournament title and a run to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.

With the departure of McKenzie Forbes this summer, picked by the Los Angeles Sparks in the draft, coach Lindsay Gottlieb added six freshmen to the roster for the new season.

Montverde Academy forward Vivian Iwuchukwu, Brandeis High guard Rian Forestier, St. Paul VI forward Laura Williams, Long Island Lutheran guard Kayleigh Heckel, Etiwanda High guard Kennedy Smith, Boise High guard Avery Howell and Oaks Christian High guard Brooklyn Shamblin joined the Trojans.

Sophomore JuJu Watkins will be the focal point of the new-look USC squad. She will have another five-star talent as a teammate next season as Jazzy Davidson, one of the top players in 2025 class, committed to join the Trojans.
