Thomas Michael Izzo is considered to be one of the best coaches in NCAA Division I college basketball. He has been serving as the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans basketball team since 1995.

Hailing from Iron Mountain, Michigan, United States, Tom Izzo is notable for helping his team win the National Championship in 2000. Furthermore, he has also made significant achievements in the Sweet 16, Elite Eight and Final Four categories of the tournament. Izzo is also regarded to be one of the best coaches for March Madness because of his success in the month. He has gained recognition for making 26 appearances in the NCAA Tournament in his career so far.

Tom Izzo is a 10-time champion of the Big Ten Conference regular season and six-time champion of the Big Ten Tournament. He has also been awarded NABC Coach of the Year Award twice in his career. Izzo was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
