Although the 6-foot-3 guard has received offers from several decorated programs, he announced his final four schools last Friday: Kansas, Arkansas, Michigan and UConn.
Top 3 landing Spots for Darius Acuff Jr.
#3 Michigan
Darius Acuff Jr., a no. 1 point guard of the 2025 recruiting class, visited Michigan on September 1, 2023. As a Detroit native, he has strong ties to the state.
During the campus visit, Juwan Howard was the head coach of the Wolverines. However, new coach Dusty May is also equally interested in recruiting Acuff. His ability to play both guard positions suits Michigan’s system.
"It just felt like home," Acuff said. "I was back home. Going there made Ann Arbor feel like even more of a home. It’s about an hour away from home (Detroit), but it still felt like home." [H/T Rivals]
#2 Kansas
Kansas head coach Bill Self and his staff have been actively pursuing Acuff. Following his visit to the campus on April 20, 2024, the Jayhawks are confident that the athlete will commit to the team. Coach Self appreciates intelligent players, and Acuff's quick decision-making ability fits well with that.
According to On3's recruiting prediction machine, Kansas leads the pack with a 51.4% probability of signing Acuff. Meanwhile, they rank second with a 29.0% chance of landing him, as per The Rivals forecast.
#1 Arkansas
Arkansas University is the most recent college Darius Acuff Jr. has been to. He has been on the radar of the Razorbacks' new head coach John Calipari for quite some time. Calipari showed interest in the athlete when he was still at Kentucky.
Acuff's trip to Fayetteville in May went well, and it looks like the Razorbacks are leading in his recruitment. His defensive intensity and ability to create turnovers would be valuable for Arkansas.
