#1 Desmond Claude, Guard

NCAA Basketball: Big East Conference Tournament Quarterfinal-Connecticut vs Xavier

Desmond Claude has committed to play at USC after transferring from Xavier during the offseason.

He played the last two seasons at Xavier, where he earned Big East All-Freshman honors in his first year. He started all 34 games he appeared in last season and averaged a career-high 16.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

He doesn't give USC much from outside, shooting just 25.3% from beyond the arc in his career but is excellent at getting inside and finishing closer to the rim. He was the 31st overall ranked player in the transfer by 247Sports before committing to USC in early May.

The former four-star recruit from New Haven, CT, received 23 total offers out of high school from programs, including Kansas, Marquette, Louisville and Butler, before landing at Xavier.

#2 Isaiah Elohim, Forward

Sierra Canyon forward Isaiah Elohim is a freshman recruit who originally committed to Arkansas but would follow Musselman to USC. Elohim is a four-star recruit and the 48th nationally ranked player in the class of 2024 by 247Sports.

He's a strong wing player who excels at finishing at the rim as well as stepping into the midrange. He has struggled to stay healthy throughout his high school career, but when healthy, he can finish through contact and knock down jumpers inside the perimeter.

Elohim received 15 offers from programs, including Kansas, Illinois, Michigan and Kentucky, but has decided to follow his coach to USC after originally committing to Arkansas.

#3 Wesley Yates III, Guard

Washington guard Wesley Yates III has committed to play for the Trojans from the transfer portal after one season with the Huskies. He began his collegiate career with a broken foot before the start of last season and re-injured it during his mid-season attempt to return to action.

He was the 53rd overall ranked player and four-star recruit by 247Sports out of high school in the class of 2023. He had 26 total offers from schools, including Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Illinois and Gonzaga, before originally committing to Washington.

Expectations are high for the six-foot-four, 200-pound SG out of Beaumont, TX, who gives USC some range with a steady outside shooting ability. If he can stay healthy for the upcoming season, he could play a major role in Musselman turning around the Trojans' recent lack of success with his four years of eligibility remaining.
