Kim Mulkey has bolstered the LSU Tigers as one of the top teams in the women's collegiate circuit. Her team will enter the 2024-25 season after deploying two deep stints and will again compete as one of the best in the nation. LSU's standing comes from Mulkey's penchant to be consistently on top of her recruitment game.

Even before the season begins, her staff is already accommodating the talents from the 2026 and 2027 classes for unofficial visits. Moreover, the program has proactively offered Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka (No. 2 prospect from 2027).

With that, let's look at the potential players LSU and Kim Mulkey could target from the 2026 recruiting class:

Players LSU's Kim Mulkey could target in the class of 2026

#1 Trinity Jones

Trinity Jones is a top-10 recruit from the 2026 class and is one of the quickest players Kim Mulkey could pick. She's translating her athleticism and speed to refine her offensive skills and has displayed confidence in her 3-point shot and pull-up jumpers.

Trinity also has good footwork fundamentals and can finish with either hand near the basket.

She can use her quickness on the defensive end to erase shots and skillfully block passing lanes. Moreover, she also brings age-restricted international experience with Team USA’s U16 stint.

#2 Oliviyah Edwards

Oliviyah Edwards can do it all on the court. She has the athleticism to leap over players for rebounds, the endurance to cruise past defenders and a confident touch around the arc to sink a quick long ranger.

Edwards has a range of moves to find a clear path to the basket and can finish with both hands while elevating like no other.

Oliviyah Edwards has offers from more than 10 programs and sees Kim Mulkey's LSU as her top-10 landing spot.

#3 Kate Harping

The daughter of former NBA player Matt Harpring, Kate Harping is one of the four-point guards in ESPN’s top 25 high school players from the 2026 class.

The five-foot-nine has the sneaky ability to pile up shots and can score from all three levels, including the post. While she was invited to Nike’s World Basketball Festival in NY, her most notable stint came from the semifinal game against River Ridge in March.

Kate Harping posted 45 points in the overtime win. She mounted a block, a three-pointer and a low-post shot to erase a seven-point deficit in the final minute of the quarter, posting 19 points through the final period and OT.
