#3. Caleb Foster

Caleb Foster is another player set to take on a more prominent role in the Duke basketball team next season and can serve as a replacement for Jared McCain. The 6-foot-5 guard showed glimpses of what he can do on the hardwood with the Blue Devils.

Foster was on the court for the Blue Devils in 27 games last season, starting 15 of them. He averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 43.7% from the field. He is expected to get more game time as he enters his sophomore year.

#2. Tyrese Proctor

Another guard who can fill the void left by Jared McCain is Tyrese Proctor, who started many games alongside him last season. The NBA Global Academy, Canberra product is set to receive a more prominent role in the upcoming campaign.

Proctor appeared in a total of 32 games for Duke last season. He recorded an average of 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 42.3% from the field. This earned him a place in the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman team.

#1. Cooper Flagg

Cooper Flagg is widely seen as one of the freshmen ready to make an impact in the 2024-25 college basketball season. Widely considered a generational talent, the guard is a prospect that will fill the void left by McCain in Jon Scheyer’s team.

Flagg was rated the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2024 and he is projected to be the first-overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft. His presence on the Blue Devils’ team in the upcoming season could potentially make the program a contender for the national championship.
