Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN

Assembly Hall is the home of the Indiana Hoosiers college basketball team and packs a maximum of 17,222 fans inside its walls. Announcer Gus Johnson nicknamed this arena "the Carnegie Hall of College Basketball" due to its steep sideline seating that climbs all the way to the rafters.

Assembly Hall opened in 1971 and has hosted many of the great Hoosiers basketball teams throughout history, including the historic 32-0 unbeaten season in 1975–1976.

The student section at Assembly Hall contains a record 7,800 seats, making it one of the most hostile environments for visitors.

Rupp Arena has been the home floor for Kentucky Wildcats basketball since 1976. The arena was named after legendary Kentucky head coach Adolph Rupp, who won four national championships with the program between 1948 and 1958.

The thunderous student section continuously shows up in full force to support their Bulldogs. The environment created by the fans has helped Gonzaga become one of the most difficult teams to play at home, with just three losses at home in the last six seasons.

#2, Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke

Opened in 1940, Cameron Indoor Stadium is the home of the Duke Blue Devils and contains a smaller capacity of 9,314 fans.

In each home contest, the most passionate Duke fans known as the "Cameron Crazies" file into the historic arena after camping outside the stadium in "Krzyzewskiville." The area outside the gymnasium is filled with tents in anticipation of upcoming games and is named after former head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who won five titles with the program.

The smaller, more cramped arena puts fans right up close near the action as well. They reach their arms out during opponent inbounds as they come just inches away from touching the players. This creates a truly hostile building for many of the visiting teams who have been bested by the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor.

Allen Fieldhouse has been the home of the Kansas Jayhawks since 1955 and seats up to 16,300 fans inside its historic walls. Every one of those seats was filled against West Virginia on Feb. 13, 2017, when the Jayhawks faithful broke the Guinness World Record for the loudest crowd roar at an indoor sporting event at 130.4 decibels.

The Jayhawks have won nearly 90% of their games at Allen Fieldhouse since it opened, and it has hosted three national championship teams. Kansas seems to be a powerhouse each college basketball season, and 2024–25 is expected to be no different. The historic and current success of the Jayhawks basketball program ensures that the most passionate fans will continue to be in attendance year after year.
