Top 5 women's college basketball players in class of 2025 ft. Aaliyah Chavez

The women's 2025 recruiting class stands to be a strong one. Interestingly, the top teams that are usually in search for these talents seem to be silent. UConn, South Carolina and LSU aren't on the bound for these recruits yet.

That said, Iowa and Washington each have commitments from one of these talented young players. The 2025 class could be the one that balances the sport. With that in mind, here are the projected rankings of the top five players in the class.

5. McKenzie Mathurin, G

The nation's second-best shooting guard recruit, Mathurin hails from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Mathurin committed to Nebraska early in the recruiting process, but has re-opened her recruitment. At 5-foot-10, Mathurin has good size and shooting skills. She has visited Alabama since her decommitment and holds several other Power Five offers.

4. Brynn McGaughy, PF

McGaughy, who at 6-foot-2 is the nation's top power forward prospect, has already committed to Washington.

She's from Colfax, Washington, and committed last month after also taking visits to Iowa and North Carolina. A true post player who can also face up and shoot the ball, McGaughy should be a college star.

3. Divine Bourrage, G

A 5-foot-10 guard from Davenport, Iowa, Bourrage is already setting her recruiting visits for the fall. She's planning to visit Arizona, Cal, Virginia Tech and LSU, but remains interested in other schools as well. Bourrage is the top shooting guard in the class, and has impressive range and size.

2. Addie Deal, G

Deal, who is rated as the top combo guard in the nation, is already committed to Iowa.

At 6-feet, Deal is big enough and strong enough to get off her shot against virtually anyone. Her work ethic impresses analysts, and when Deal picked Iowa, she chose the Hawkeyes despite offers from Baylor, LSU, Stanford and Tennessee among others.

1.Aaliyah Chavez, G

The top player in the class, the 5-foot-9 Chavez is rated as the nation's top point guard. Chavez is both a capable scorer and an effortless offensive leader, who can initiate and control an offense.

The Texas product is the subject of an intense recruiting battle. She hasn't taken any visits yet, but her offer sheet includes LSU, Ohio State and Tennessee, among many others.
