The first round of the 2024 NBA Draft is done, but some college players ranked in the top 30 of ESPN's latest draft rankings were unexpectedly snubbed.

Heading into the second round on Thursday at 4 PM ET, here are three names that are yet to be called by the commissioner Adam Silver.

2024 NBA Draft: Day 1 Snubs

1. Johnny Furphy, Kansas, SG

Days before the draft, ESPN projected the 19-year-old to get chosen by the Orlando Magic with the 18th pick. But given how things turned out by the end of the first round, he has to wait a bit more before he gets called. As per 247Sports, Furphy is currently the best player available alongside Duke's Kyle Filipowski.

The Australian declared for the draft after his freshman season at Kansas where he averaged 9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1 assist.

2. Kyle Filipowski, Duke, PF

Filipowski was ESPN's 21st ranked prospect heading into the draft; but according to Bleacher Report's Tyler Conway, the 7-foot star from Duke reportedly missed out due to athleticism concerns.

"Despite his 6'11" size, strong passing ability and shooting ability beyond the arc, Filipowski fell on draft boards in large part due to his lack of athleticism," Conway said.

Filipowski played two seasons with the Blue Devils and averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his last year with the team.

3. Tyler Kolek, Marquette, PG

Aside from Furphy and Filipowski, Kolek was the only other college player ranked inside the top 30 by ESPN that did not become a first round pick.

The point guard from Marquette was coming off his best college season where he averaged 15.3 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in 31 starts. There have been some doubts on whether or not his game would transition well to the league, but he should be one of the earlier picks in the second round of the draft.
