He was selected to the Big Ten's All-Academic Team as a result of his achievements.

In just 17.0 minutes per game, he averaged 6.4 points and 4.0 rebounds, earning starts in all 39 games during his sophomore campaign. Kaufman-Renn played 17.5 minutes in eight postseason games, averaging 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds. He also made 33.3 percent (8-of-24) 3-pointers and 51.1 percent from the field. His field goal was 88-of-164 (from inside the arc. As a junior, Kaufman-Renn is enjoying a strong campaign as he averaged a career-high 20.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game (via ESPN).
