No. 3 USC opens its 2024-25 women's college basketball season in Paris, France against No. 20 Ole Miss on Monday, 12 p.m. ET at the Adidas Arena.
The Trojans are coming off a successful 2023-24 season, compiling a record of 29-6. With the tandem of JuJu Watkins and Rayah Marshall leading the charge, the Lindsay Gottlieb-coached squad placed tied for second with UCLA in the Pac-12 regular season behind Stanford.
USC finished strong in the Pac-12 tournament, beating Arizona, UCLA and Stanford to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Seeded first in the Portland Regionals, the Trojans defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Kansas and Baylor but fell short in the Elite Eight, losing to UConn by seven points.
On the other hand, the Rebels finished third in the SEC with a 12-4 record, behind LSU and top-ranked South Carolina. They made the semifinals of the SEC Tournament, winning the quarterfinals over Florida before exiting abruptly with a semifinal defeat against LSU.
Ole Miss received an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament where they beat Marquette in the first round before losing to Notre Dame in the second round.
