The Villanova Wildcats women’s basketball team competes in the Big East Conference and made their first appearance in the 1982-83 season. They made 14 NCAA tournament appearances and won three conference championships. The Wildcats' home games are played at the Finneran Pavilion in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Denise Dillon is in her fifth season with the Villanova Wildcats and has led the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances. She led the Wildcats to a 93-36 overall record in her first four seasons with the program.

Before her arrival at Villanova, she spent 13 years as the head coach at Drexel University. She led Drexel to ten postseason appearances and the WNIT Championship in 2013.

Associate Head Coach

Joe Mullaney has entered his 29th season as the associate head coach in the 2024-25 season. He was named to his position in 1998-1999 and also served as head coach at St. Johns University for 12 seasons.

Assistant Coaches

Michelle Sword and Tiara Malcom are the assistant coaches of the Villanova women’s basketball team. Michelle Sword joined the program in 2020 and spent the previous eight seasons on Dillon’s Drexel University coaching staff.

Tiara Malcom enters her third season on Denise Dillon’s coaching staff and serves as the assistant coach as well as the recruiting coordinator. Before Villanova, Malcom made coaching stops at the University of Delaware and Florida International University.
