The Virginia Tech Hokies women’s basketball program competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays in the Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies have had appearances in 13 NCAA tournaments, two Sweet Sixteen, one Elite Eight and one Final Four. Megan Duffy joined the Virginia Tech Hokies in 2024 as the head coach following a five-year spell with Marquette. She has led the Golden Eagles to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024 and compiled a 110-46 record over the past five years.
She began her career as a head coach at Miami RedHawks where she coached for two seasons before taking her role as a head coach at Marquette. Duffy also made coaching stops at St. John’s, Michigan and George Washington.

Associate Head Coach
Itoro Coleman has entered her first season with the Hokies after joining the program in 2024 as an associate head coach. She spent the last three seasons at North Carolina where she led the Tar Heels to three NCAA tournament appearances. Coleman also made coaching stops at Marquette, Penn State and Clemson.
Assistant Coaches
Sharnee Zoll-Norman and Jen Hoover are the two assistant coaches on the Virginia Tech women’s basketball coaching staff. Sharnee Zoll-Norman joined Duffy’s coaching staff in 2024 after spending the last two years at Penn State. She also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Rhode Island.
Jen Hoover joined Duffy’s coaching staff in the summer of 2024 after spending the last two seasons at Kentucky. She also led her alma matter Wake Forest for a decade and became the winningest coach in the program’s history.
