It was a media day to remember for the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team, especially for star player Paige Bueckers as she prepared for potentially the final final one of her college career.
However, it did not stop her from having fun with her teammates. On Monday, Bueckers posted a TikTok video with Azzi Fudd where they showed off their dance moves. The duo danced to Ariana Grande's song "The Way" and displayed their chemistry off the court.
"Two media day tik toks in one @Azzi Fudd," Bueckers captioned the post.
Fudd took to the comments section and wrote:
"I love itt😊."
Bueckers and Fudd have known each other since their teenage years when they played for the Team USA squad at the 2017 FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship.
They reunited with the Huskies when Fudd joined in 2021 and have since formed a dynamic duo. They have led the Huskies to two Big East regular season and tournament titles as well as a run to the NCAA championship game.
Bueckers and Fudd are also often seen together whether at practice, team events or just hanging out. Earlier this month, the two were spotted in New York, first at the NBPA training center where they trained with the Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry and Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown.
The duo also attended Usher's concert at Barclays Center and then saw some action at the US Open.
Paige Bueckers wants to finish her college career on a strong note
Paige Bueckers has put in a lot of effort during the offseason in preparation for her potential final college basketball season as she wants to be remembered as one of the best athletes in school history.
Although Bueckers has excelled individually, she has yet to lift the NCAA national trophy which is her ultimate goal this coming season.
"I know I'm not at the top, at the peak of my performance," Bueckers said during an appearance on 'This is Winning Basketball' in August. "I'm not anywhere where I wanna be. So. I'm always motivated by that, always motivated by wanting to win. I haven't won a national championship. So, I'm trying to get there. I'm tryna work for it."
Bueckers, a projected top pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, will be a key player for Geno Auriemma's team along with Azzi Fudd, Sara Strong, and fourth-year senior transfer Kaitlyn Chen.
