The 2024 NBA Draft concluded on Thursday with the Los Angeles Lakers making LeBron James' son, Bronny, their second-round pick — and 55th overall. Bronny's drafting — and possible signing with the Lakers — allows LeBron Sr to negotiate his deal and play with his son this upcoming season.

Now that Bronny's picked in the NBA Draft, LeBron's youngest son, Bryce, will now be the subject of draft rumor mills in the next two years like his older brother.

Bryce, who is an incoming senior, is set to graduate high school in 2025. Let's take a deep dive into Bryce's draft eligibility and his prospects of making the pros.

Bryce James has wrapped up his junior year in Sierra Canyon, Bronny's alma mater, and will be a senior this coming season. The six-foot-four guard is part of the Sierra Canyon squad that features Scottie Pippen's son Justin.

As a shooting guard for the Trailblazers, James plays off the bench and averages 7.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, a big improvement from his sophomore year when he tallied 3.8 ppg while splitting time with Sierra Canyon, Campbell Hall and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks.

Although he is likely staying with Sierra Canyon in his senior year, there's still a chance that he might transfer again depending on the situation in the school's team composition and the opportunity to secure a better school in college.

When is Bryce James eligible for NBA Draft?

Bryce James is eligible for the NBA Draft in 2026, one year after playing his freshman season in college. Most recruiting services ranked Bryce as a three-star prospect. He is 148th in the prospect rankings of 247Sports and 22nd in California via ESPN.

Two Division I schools — Duquesne and Ohio State — have made their presence felt by sending initial offers to Bryce. Experts who saw him play noticed the potential and TSN's Kyle Irving was one of his admirers.

"Bryce is not the level of athlete of Bronny but has better NBA size. ... He has started to look much better in his junior year, holding his own against some of the best prospects in his class like No. 2-ranked Cameron Boozer," Irving said.

Bryce James still has two years to boost his draft stock if he wants to follow in the footsteps of LeBron Sr and Bronny. He may have weaknesses in some areas — ball handling and creating shots — but he can still improve this during the period to make him ready for the draft in 2026.
