American women's college basketball player Lauren Betts is a junior center for the UCLA Bruins, a team which competes in the Big Ten Conference. She attended Grandview High School before starting her college basketball career. At Stanford, she played in 33 games and averaged 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and nearly one block in 9.7 minutes per game in the 2022-23 season. For her nation side, she bagged two gold medals for the United States, one in the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup which was held in Hungary and the other one 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Chile.

In the 2023-24 season, Betts registered a career-high 18 rebounds which she recorded against Florida State which was ranked No. 20 that season. She ended the season with three back-to-back double-doubles and recorded 12 that year. She attended 29 games and started 27 of them, averaging 27.2 minutes per game.

She was named McDonald's All-American and Jordan Brand Classic All-American in 2022. Additionally, Betts also begged the WBCA High School Player of the Year. As a senior in high school, she won the Colorado state championship. She averaged 17.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.6 blocks and 3.5 assists per game. While she was in her freshman year, she also focused on volleyball and competitive swimming.
