On the nights when Flau'jae Johnson couldn't give her best for LSU on the court, her rapping was blamed. This didn't stop Johnson from rapping, but she spent extra time in the gym to compensate. She has listed her third passion on Fox Sports:

"I'm wearing anything like I'm really a huge hoodie and sweat pant type of girl, right?
I love to be comfy, I love to be cool but I'm just getting into more like less like layers like different styles more patterns, more textures more skirts, and things like that and I just expressing myself more. I don't really care what people think about, I just try to walk it in and own it because at the end of the day, it's my style."

Johnson shared that her trip to New York inspired how she looked at fashion previously, and that's when she started taking it seriously.
