Zakai Zeigler is a point guard for the Tennessee Volunteers, representing the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Zeigler's college career began in 2021-2022, and he was named to the SEC-All-Frenchman Team in 2022. In 2023–24, he won the SEC Defensive Player of the Year award and was selected to the First Team All-SEC. He has also been in the semifinals of the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year twice.
Zeigler concluded the 2023–24 season averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game.
