Some quarterbacks, like Carson Beck and Shedeur Sanders, are superb in EA Sports College Football 25. Both of them have an overall rating of 93.
However, the same can't be said for others who struggle with passing, running and reading defenses—take James Moore for example. The East Carolina QB has an overall rating of 12, which is miles below any other player. Fortunately, Moore is only a fictional character existing in the game.
Moore was created by EA Sports to fill out the East Carolina roster. His throwing power of 14 and throwing accuracy of 18 might make him the ultimate noodle-armed QB.
After Moore, here are the ten other lowest-rated QBs in CFB25. Do note that most of them are either transfers or redshirt freshmen who have not seen any action yet on the college football field.
10 lowest-rated QBs in College Football 25
10. Colin Parachek, Marshall (53)
Parachek has solid throwing ratings, but his 47 awareness is amazingly low. A transfer from Morehead State, Parachek threw an interception on his only pass attempt in 2023.
9. Ethan Lane, Central Michigan (53)
There are actually four QBs with a 53 overall grade, but Lane's 76 passing accuracy rating dragged him here. A redshirt freshman, the 6-foot-1 Arizona product has yet to see any action at CMU.
8. Caden Creel, Jacksonville State (53)
Creel's score is composed of a 78 throwing power and a 68 throwing accuracy rating. As a redshirt freshman dual-threat passer from Alabama, Creel hasn't had a chance to prove EA wrong.
7. Mason Cumbie, Buffalo (52)
Cumbie's combination of 59 awareness and 74 passing accuracy landed him on this list. A redshirt freshman from Virginia, Cumbie is a dual-threat guy who also hasn't seen any college action yet.
6. Karson Kaiser, Texas State (52)
Kaiser's combination of 61 awareness and 69 throwing accuracy yielded a 52 overall rating. A sophomore transfer from New Mexico State, the 6-foot-3 Kaiser hasn't had any college snaps to count.
5. Anthony Policare, Buffalo (52)
Policare is fairly speedy, but his 67 throwing accuracy could be a problem in the game. A redshirt freshman from New York state, Policare is yet another young player who hasn't seen in-game action. Do you sense a trend?
4. Arik Moyers, Western Michigan (51)
Moyers has a decent arm, but his 54 awareness rating is a massive red flag. Like the others, the 6-foot-5 freshman from Indiana hasn't had any college game experience yet, so he's still got plenty of time to prove EA's evaluation wrong.
3. Carson Cruver, Florida Atlantic (51)
Cruver's 84 throwing power and 73 throwing accuracy aren't awful—certainly better than his 51 overall rating. A redshirt freshman, the 6-foot-3 Cruver hails from Texas. Surprise, surprise... he also hasn't had any experience playing in the collegiate level.
2. David Lynch, Pittsburgh (50)
Lynch's passing ratings aren't awful, but his 51 awareness could be a problem. A walk-on at Pitt, the 6-foot-3 freshman from Rhode Island is still looking for his first taste of college action.
1. Scott Saylor, Coastal Carolina (50)
Saylor has 80 speed, but is ranked with 57 awarness and 68 throwing accuracy. Unlike every other player on this list, Saylor did see a few snaps against Duquesne last season, giving the redshirt freshman some on-field action to consider. However, he didn't throw a pass or have a carry.
