The 2024 NFL draft's first two days have concluded and the Big 12 has witnessed a couple of notable picks. Day 3 is upon us to wrap up the event for this year.

There are still a couple of top talents on the board yet to be selected. Many NFL teams still require depth in certain areas which they will look to address and the Big 12 hopes to end this year’s draft on a high note.

We take a look at the top five players from the Big 12 that are yet to be picked.

Top Big 12 players for Day 3 of the 2024 NFL draft

#5 Javon Baker, WR, UCF

Javon Baker earned a first-team All-Big 12 selection in his first season in the conference in 2023. The wide receiver recorded 52 receptions for 1,139 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a decent route-runner who shows good pacing and understands how to set cornerbacks up to cross their faces efficiently.

#4 T.J. Tampa, CB, Iowa State

T.J. Tampa had a noteworthy college career at Iowa State. He has great size and length at the cornerback position. He also has long arms and a thick frame with good functional strength and positioning, which makes him a menace to receivers. The cornerback was named first-team All-Big 12 in 2023.

#3 Austin Booker, LB, Kansas

Austin Booker played his final season in college football at Kansas and was named Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year in 2023. He played in 12 games last season and had 56 tackles and eight sacks.

Booker is quick to get his hands up as a running defender and is physical at the point of attack. He also has good block recognition to avoid getting hit.

#2 Kedon Slovis, QB, BYU

Kedon Slovis is a quarterback with good pocket movement and proper footwork. He is an accurate slinger of the ball, especially at short and intermediate ranges.

In the 2023 college football season, he played in eight games for the BYU Cougars and threw for 1,716 yards and 12 touchdowns. It is expected that he won't stay long on the board on Day 3.

#1 Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas

Ja’Tavion Sanders is regarded as one of the greatest tight ends in Texas history. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2022 and 2023. In his final season with the Longhorns, he recorded 45 receptions for 682 yards and two touchdowns.

He's one of several high-end playmakers still available at the tight end position heading into Day 3 of the NFL Draft. It shouldn’t be long before he gets picked up.
