College football loves traditional powers. The teams that dominate and win championships have loyal fan bases and happy falls. That is, until somebody changes the game on one of the big boys. Here are three college football powers that could get humbled this weekend.

Wisconsin

The Badgers play Alabama in a game that figures to be a massive test. Wisconsin used to be the glory program for power football.

Perhaps foremost among the Big Ten, the Badgers made a reputation by lining up massive offensive linemen in front of powerful running backs and grinding opposing defenses into a hamburger.

Ironically, Alabama became very good at the same things... before diversifying. The Badgers will face Kalen DeBoer's team, which will largely spread the field and succeed by bombarding passes everywhere.

It's been quite a shift for one of the power programs of yore, and today is likely to be a humbling experience for Wisconsin.

Florida State

Florida State is not the kind of team that goes 0-3. Bobby Bowden may have turned over in his grave just having the words 'Florida State' and '0-3' in the same sentence. But, as the 0-2 Seminoles prepare for Week 3, it's a distinct possibility.

Making bad into worse, the opponent is Memphis, FSU coach Mike Norvell's former team. Of all the cruelest indignities, losing a game to the team whose coach you poached would be high on the list.

Memphis has a chance to knock Florida State to 0-3 and further embarrass the Seminoles, given that unique situation. It could be a wild Saturday for Florida State.

Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish certainly had a rough Week 2, losing to lightly regarded Northern Illinois at home. Week 3 could turn out to be less than brilliant as well. Texas transfer Hudson Card will lead Purdue into an intra-state battle with the Fighting Irish.

Card is a wily football veteran who completed 24 of 25 passes in Week 1. Purdue is a touchdown underdog at home, but Notre Dame and Riley Leonard have yet to click offensively.

While Notre Dame has flirted with national football relevance, in truth, it's over 30 years since the Irish were truly a championship-caliber team. Purdue would like to continue that negative run.
