Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide have gotten off to a great start, clinching easy wins over Western Kentucky and South Florida in the first two weeks of college football.
This Saturday, the No. 4-ranked Roll Tide will travel to Wisconsin to face the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Like Alabama, the Badgers have also played their first two games. In Week 1, they defeated Western Michigan, followed by a win over South Dakota in Week 2.
As per the odds, Alabama is projected to win this Week 3 matchup by more than 16 points. But the Tide shouldn't take Wisconsin any lightly with the school having skillful players that can beat these odds.
3 Wisconsin players that can spell trouble for Jalen Milroes's Alabama
#3. Hunter Wohler
Senior safety in the Badgers' secondary, Hunter Wohler, is an experienced player who is in his fourth year of college. Last year, he had 120 total tackles, out of which 74 were solo tackles. He also made one interception and two sacks.
Even this year, he leads his team with 15 total tackles, of which 10 were solo on top of two pass defenses. Jalen Milroe's route runners may likely bump into him and will need to devise a plan to test Wohler's agility.
#2. Chez Mellusi
Wisconsin is among those few teams that rely heavily on their rush game, and the Badgers have the services of senior running back Chez Mellusi. Moreover, a good game against Alabama could get him some attention as he hopes to get picked in next year's NFL draft.
This season, in 35 carries, Mellusi has rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns. Though his 3.8 yards per carry isn't the best, his experience could come in handy to relieve his quarterback Tyler Van Dyke in the big game.
#3. Tyler Van Dyke
Senior quarterback Tyler Van Dyke took a transfer out of Miami after playing four years there. He has been impressive for the Badgers in the first two games, throwing for 402 yards on 38 of 63 pass attempts, including one touchdown and zero interceptions. He also has one rushing score.
However, in the first two games, he has shown reluctance to give the ball air often. Alabama has a good defensive line, so it's imperative for him to switch plans quickly if Chez Mellusi struggles to gain yardage. He'll have to show more trust to wideouts, including Will Pauling, Bryson Green and CJ Williams.
