#5 Penn State vs. West Virginia, Aug. 31
The Penn State Nittany Lions are ranked eighth in the AP Top 25 preseason poll and open their season with a rather tough game.
Penn State will go on the road in Week 1 to play West Virginia. Although the Mountaineers are unranked, it's a difficult place to play and will be a good test for Penn State.
The game is set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, at noon ET. Penn State is a 10-point favorite.
#4 Miami vs. Florida, Aug. 31
A battle of Florida happens in Week 1 as the Miami Hurricanes take on the Florida Gators on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. ET. The game is in Gainesville, Florida, and should have a rowdy crowd.
Miami has a legit chance of winning the ACC, while the Gators have low expectations but could play spoiler for Miami early in the season. Miami is a 2.5-point favorite to defeat Florida.
#3, LSU vs. USC, Sept. 1
The LSU Tigers and USC Trojans are set to play on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It's the only game on Sunday, so many fans will turn in to watch a ranked-on-ranked matchup. LSU is ranked 13th, while USC is 23rd, so it will be a good test to see how both teams will do this season. LSU is a 6-point favorite.
#2 Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M, Aug. 31
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Texas A&M Aggies play on Saturday, Aug. 31, in one of the most anticipated games of Week 1.
The game is at 7:30 p.m. ET as Notre Dame goes on the road to play the Aggies. The Fighting Irish are ranked seventh while Texas A&M is 20th. Whoever wins the game will be a statement as a legit playoff contender. Notre Dame is a 2.5-point underdog.
#1 Georgia vs. Clemson, Aug. 31
The biggest college football game of Week 1 takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the Atlanta Falcons, as the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Clemson Tigers on Saturday, Aug. 31, at noon ET.
Georgia is the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, while Clemson is 14th. This will be one of the most watched games of Week 1 as both schools have expectations of championships and being in the playoffs. Georgia is a 14-point favorite.
