5 undefeated teams that look scary heading into Week 11 of college football ft. Oregon

The number of undefeated teams in the 2024 college football has continued to reduce as the season progresses. After the conclusion of Week 10, there are now five undefeated teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision, as many as we had at the end of the regular season in 2023.

With the regular season moving closer to an end, these five teams now have a clear route to their conference’s championship game. They now also have a strong claim at a spot in the College Football Playoff. Here’s a look at the identity of the five programs.

Five undefeated college football teams after Week 10

#1. Oregon (9-0, 6-0 Big 10), AP Rank - 1

Oregon’s first season in the Big Ten has been a brilliant one. The program has been fantastic this season, exerting itself to be a dominant force in the competitive conference.

The Ducks have already defeated the two biggest programs in the Big Ten. They saw off Ohio State in Week 7 and handed Michigan a defeat in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Dan Lanning’s team hopes to keep the momentum with Maryland, Wisconsin and Washington left to play.

#2, Miami (9-0, 5-0 ACC), AP Rank - 4

Miami was widely touted for something big among college football analysts in the offseason. However, remaining undefeated after Week 10 has been outstanding for Mario Cristobal’s team.

With Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Syracuse left on their regular season schedule, the Hurricanes have a strong chance of going undefeated and claiming their first ACC title.

#3. Indiana (9-0, 6-0 Big 10) AP Rank - 8

Indiana has been fantastic in the ongoing college football season. Not many predicted that they would remain undefeated after nine rounds of games, but Curt Cignetti and his team surprised everyone.

The Hoosiers have a tough task ahead to stay undefeated for the rest of the regular season and seal a place in the Big Ten championship game. They face Michigan, Ohio State and Purdue in their final three games.

#4. BYU (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) AP Rank - 9

Why BYU wasn’t considered for the Big 12 championship in the offseason, the Cougars have been the best team in the conference this season. They’ve been convincing on the field in many of their games this season.

The Cougars are considered favorites for the Big 12 title in just their second season in the league. With Utah, Kansas, Arizona and Houston left on their schedule, ending the 2024 college football season undefeated is very likely.

#5. Army (8-0, 6-0 AAC) AP Rank - 18

Army's first season in the American has been nothing short of outstanding. The Black Knights remain the only undefeated team in the Group of Five and appeared fired up to challenge for the conference title.

In the remainder of the regular season, the Black Knights are scheduled to face North Texas, Notre Dame and UTSA. They also have their annual rivalry game with Navy intact on the schedule.
