Week 13 could be the week of the quarterback. This week, teams will be jockeying for the College Football Playoff and trying to put positive finishing touches on regular seasons. Plenty of passers will likely take to the air to stake their teams to pivotal wins. Here are seven outstanding passers who could have big weeks in Week 13.

7. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU

LSU has lost three in a row, and if the beleaguered Tigers make a stand, QB Nussmeier will be in the thick of the picture. One of eight 3,000-yard passers this season, Nussmeier has thrown for 3,126 yards and 22 touchdowns. He faces a feisty Vanderbilt defense but could still put up a big week as Brian Kelly tries to get the season back on track.

6. Chandler Morris, North Texas

Morris and the Mean Green are probably headed for a shootout against East Carolina this week. On the season, Morris is fourth in FBS with 3,328 passing yards. His 27 touchdown passes tie Shedeur Sanders for second in that category. Morris has four 400+ yard games this season and could be looking for a fifth this week.

5. Cam Ward, Miami

Ward and the Hurricanes took a loss but are still hoping for the playoff. Meanwhile, Ward has been one of the nation's top players. His 3,494 yards and 32 touchdowns both lead FBS. Ward is also fourth nationally in QB rating.

Only once all year has Ward failed to throw for 300 yards and multiple TDs (and that was an easy win over Florida State). He should be up for a big Week 13 game.

4. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Dart, a top passer, and Ole Miss don't want to stumble in the CFP race. Dart leads the nation in QB rating, and he has 3,409 passing yards and a great 22-touchdown-to-four interception ratio. Dart and the Rebels play at a dangerous Florida team, which should bring out a big game for the Rebels QB.

3. Will Howard, Ohio State

Indiana and Ohio State is a battle of two top-five teams with two top-three QBs in quarterback rating. Howard is third in that category, with a steady season of 2,484 yards and 24 touchdowns (against just five interceptions). OSU is probably in the playoff either way, but Howard and Ohio State can make a statement with a big game against the Hoosiers.

2. Curtis Rourke, Indiana

Rourke is second nationally in QB rating. With Indiana seeking perhaps the biggest regular-season win in program history, it figures that Rourke will be busy. On the year, despite missing a game, Rourke has 2,410 passing yards with 21 touchdowns and just four interceptions. If Indiana's Cinderella season continues, Rourke will have a big day.

1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Sanders continues to shine week to week. His 3,222 passing yards is sixth nationally and his 27 touchdown passes tie for second. He's also second in completion percentage at 72.9%. Sanders has thrown at least one touchdown every week and hasn't come in under 244 passing yards yet. He'll likely continue his production with Colorado in the playoff hunt.
