The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The game was sealed by a thrilling sack, scoop and score by Buckeyes defensive end Jack Sawyer.

College football analyst Joel Klatt was one of the many viewers of the game, and he gave his two cents about the game-sealing play in the fourth quarter. Klatt said via his show:

"That is a play that nobody in Columbus will forget for a long time, and nobody will forget in all of college football."

Jack Sawyer sealed the win for the Ohio State Buckeyes

According to ESPN, Jack Sawyer's 83-yard touchdown was the longest scoop-and-score in College Football Playoff history. He made the play late in the fourth quarter to put the game to bed for the Buckeyes.

Sawyer's late heroics were impressive plays in his game-winning performance. He ended the game with a stat line of three tackles, two quarterback hurries, two broken-up passes, one forced fumble, one sack and a defensive touchdown.

What's next for Ohio State?

The Ohio State Buckeyes' job isn't finished. They have a date with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the National Championship Game. The latter sealed their spot in the finals after a close victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

The Ohio State Buckeyes go into the game as favorites due to their stacked roster, strength of schedule in the lead-up to the game, and experience in big games. However, the Fighting Irish have the element of surprise and a head coach who seemingly thrives in such big games.

The game will feature two of this year's best teams. There will be numerous stars on the gridiron and two quarterbacks with a chip on their shoulder.

Furthermore, senior Jack Sawyer will look to finish what he started in the semifinals and end his college football career on a high. Ryan Day will get the chance to seal his first championship, but he'll have to go through the young and vibrant Marcus Freeman to get there.
