Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sander's ex-wife Pilar Sanders has been hyping up her children (Shilo and Shedeur) as they have thrived in college football in Boulder. Pilar has also traveled to Alabama to watch her daughter Shelomi Sanders, who has tipped off the season with the A&M Bulldogs.

Away from the present, during a 2011 episode of "Pillow Talk with Pilar Sanders," Coach Prime's ex-wife revealed a childhood dream.

"You know, I always wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader just because I wanted to wear those short little white skirts and those cowboy boots, but I guess I married one (Deion Sanders)," Pilar said (Timestamp: 8:40). "As he would say, I hit the jackpot, but whatever."

Pilar Sanders speaks about positives and negatives of reality show

Deion and Pilar Sanders were the subjects of a popular reality show named "Deion & Pilar Sanders: Prime Time Love," which followed their family's home life and premiered in 2008 when their children were still young.

During a 2011 interview with D Magazine, Pilar discussed the benefits of the show and the impact that it had on fans' lives.

"I'm gonna refer back to being married to Deion Sanders," Pilar said. "It's nice. I don't look at him as Deion Sanders. It's adventurous, I would say. It's never boring, without a doubt. The cameras following us, I'm kind of used to that. But what I do enjoy, what I found out before we had 'Prime Time Love,' was the fact that our lives really helped so many people out."

Being the subject of a reality show was not always rosy, and during a 2022 episode of the "Second Shot" podcast, the controversial Pilar revealed how constantly being filmed with cameras everywhere in the house affected her.

"At first, it was quite invasive because I'm more of an introvert. I think I am anyway," Pilar said (Timestamp: 0:31). "Really private, so having the cameras in my house all the time, after a month or two, you kinda get used to it, and you just gaze over it like it doesn't matter, whatever.
"You truly forget about the cameras and the extra people and the wires and everything in the house. You just, you don't care. You get to a point where it's like, whatever, you really do."

Nowadays, Pilar Sanders has taken a step back from the spotlight as her children have taken center stage as they bask in the glow of the Deion Sanders effect and make names for themselves.
