Anthony Hill Jr is a collegiate American football linebacker for the Texas Longhorns in the NCAA. Hill began his football journey at his high school, Billy Ryan High School. During his first varsity season in 2020, Hill recorded 105 tackles and three sacks. The following year, Hill recorded 131 tackles and eight sacks, earning MVP honors of District 5-5A. Despite being injured and playing six games his senior year, Hill recorded 67 tackles, two sacks and five forced fumbles, earning an invitation to the 2023 All-American Bowl. After a stellar high school career, Hill committed to the University of Texas at Austin in 2023.
During his freshman season with the Longhorns, Hill appeared in 14 games and recorded 67 combined tackles, one forced fumble and averaged 5 sacks per game. He received Big-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American honors. As of November 2024, he has appeared in 10 games and recorded 68 combined tackles, three forced fumbles and averaged 5.5 sacks per game.
