Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter achieved a rare feat on the Associated Press All-America team, announced Monday. He earned first-team honors at two positions and second-team honors at another. Hunter and Notre Dame safety Xavier Watts were repeat first-team selections.
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty stood out as the only unanimous selection after an extraordinary season, showcasing one of the most remarkable single-season rushing performances in college football.
The AP All-America team, selected by a panel of AP Top 25 voters, included players from 24 schools. Texas and Miami led the way, with two players each on the first team.
Ashton Jeanty's historic season
Ashton Jeanty made history by becoming a unanimous pick for the AP All-American team. The junior running back from Jacksonville, Florida, delivered one of the greatest rushing campaigns in recent memory.
His performances, including multiple 200-yard games, set him apart as one of the most reliable and explosive players.
In 2024, Jeanty carried the ball 344 times for 2,497 yards and 29 touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per carry.
Travis Hunter's two-way excellence
Travis Hunter, widely regarded as one of the best two-way players in college football, was a first-team selection at cornerback and as an all-purpose player while earning second-team honors as a wide receiver.
In 12 games, Hunter had 92 catches for 1,152 yards and 14 TDs. He also recorded 33 tackles, 10 pass breakups, four interceptions and one forced fumble.
