Appalachian State vs Coastal Carolina prediction & betting tips - Nov. 6 | College Football Week 11

The Appalachian State Mountaineers are on the road to face the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on ESPN.

Appalachian State (4-4, 2-3 Sun Belt Conference) is coming off a 28-20 win over Old Dominion, while Coastal Carolina (4-4, 1-3) lost 38-24 loss to Troy in Week 10.

Appalachian State is a 1.5-point road underdog while the over/under is set at 62.5 points.

The Mountaineers outscored Old Dominion 14-3 in the second half to secure the win. The defense paved the way as it recovered three fumbles and recorded an interception. Joey Aguilar threw for four touchdowns, and App State coach Shawn Clark was pleased with the win.

“Joey is giving our playmakers chances to make plays and they are,” said Clark after the game, via The Appalachian Online.

For the season, the Mountaineers are led by Aguilar who has thrown for 2,270 yards, 18 TDs and 10 interceptions. Kaedin Robinson has 48 receptions for 764 yards and one TD.

Defensively, App State is led by Santana Hooper who has four sacks and DJ Burks has 42 tackles.

Meanwhile, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are on a three-game losing streak, including the loss to Troy. Ethan Vasko threw for 206 yards and a TD. It wasn't his best game, but Tim Beck was pleased with his quarterback's play.

"He was a guy that we've won a lot of games with," Beck said on Saturday, via MyHorryNews. "I think he's a guy that deserved that opportunity with some of the changes being made to see how he performed and how he played, so I wanted to give him that opportunity. I thought for the most part he gave us a chance to win."

For the season, Coastal Carolina is led by Vasko's 1,401 yards, nine TDs and four interceptions. Braydon Bennett has rushed for 391 yards and seven TDs, while Jameson Tucker has 414 receiving yards and four TDs.

Defensively, the Chanticleers are led by Clev Lubin's three sacks and Shane Bruce's 59 tackles.

App State vs Coastal Carolina is always a tough matchup as it is a rivalry game, and both teams badly need the win. The Chanticleers want to end their losing streak in front of their fans, but the Mountaineers will look to win their third straight game.

App State should be able to go on the road and get a close win.
