Arizona State vs Texas Tech Prediction
Arizona State is a three-point underdog against Texas Tech. The over/under is set at 58.5 points.
ASU is off to a 3-0 start and has been playing well this season. The Sun Devils are led by running back Cameron Skattebo who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns in the win against Texas Tech. It is the Sun Devils' first Big 12 game, which coach Kenny Dillingham is eager about. But, he knows the way Texas Tech calls its offense will make it difficult for Arizona State.
Dillingham said, via the team website:
"He's really creative. You never see the same thing in back-to-back games, which I think is a testament to him in terms of changing up the pictures. He constantly changes up the pictures. So whatever you show your guys, you're probably not gonna see on game day.
"Different formation, different motion, different shifts. You may see the same plays, but you're not gonna see the same physical picture from game to game. And I think that's what makes them successful."
Texas Tech, meanwhile, did lose to Washington State before rebounding with a blowout win over North Texas. The Red Raiders are led by running back Tahj Brooks who is a focal point of Texas Tech's offense.
This will be a close game as the odds suggest, but ASU has been playing well and the Sun Devils will be able to pull off the upset here. ASU will be able to limit Texas Tech's offense as Washington State did to get a close win here.
Prediction: Arizona State 33, Texas Tech 27
