The Arkansas Razorbacks go on the road to play the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET in Week 4. The game will be seen on ESPN.
Arkansas is 2-1 (0-0 SEC) and coming off a 37-27 win over UAB at home on Saturday. Auburn, meanwhile, is also 2-1 (0-0) and returned to the win column with a 45-19 win over New Mexico after an upset loss to Cal at home.
Arkansas vs Auburn: Prediction
Arkansas is a three-point underdog on Saturday while the over/under is set at 58.5 points.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have a solid quarterback in Taylen Green who has been playing well and has rejuvenated the Razorbacks' offense. Through three games, Green is 53-for-94 for 806 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Although Green has been inconsistent at times, Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is impressed with his QB.
“He's playing his tail off,” Pittman said, via WholeHogSports. “He's just a fantastic player. I wouldn't trade him. For anybody out there [who] wants to trade, I'm not trading.”
Auburn, meanwhile, was stunned by Cal, but the Tigers did a good job to rebound in Week 3 against New Mexico. Quarterback Hank Brown threw four touchdowns as he was named the starter after Payton Thorne threw four picks against Cal.
“I’m not much on slack,” Freeze said, via YardBarker. “He’s got to get it done. You have a veteran senior behind him in Payton (Thorne) that we still have belief in. But Hank (Brown) looked poised. I don’t think the moments are too big for him now.”
This game is intriguing as both teams have been inconsistent. Although Arkansas is the road underdog, the Razorbacks have a legit chance at winning.
There is now tape available on Hank Brown so Arkansas' defense should be able to game plan for him, while Green should have another bounceback game here.
Prediction: Arkansas 27, Auburn 24
