Bear Alexander is an American college football defensive lineman currently playing for the USC Trojans in his junior year. Alexander's high school football career commenced at Terrell High School. He then joined Denton Ryan High School and helped them secure the Texas 5A state championship. Before starting his collegiate career in 2022, Alexander attended five different schools in four years. He was a consensus four-star recruit and was ranked the 38th overall prospect nationally in the 2022 recruiting class.
The former four-star defensive lineman from Terrell signed with Georgia over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and USC among others in 2022. In his freshman season, Alexander saw action in 12 games recording nine tackles along with two sacks and helping the Bulldogs to the 2022 national championship with a win over TCU. The Texas native entered the transfer portal in 2023 and transferred to USC as one of the top defenders. Last season, Alexander led the team with four quarterback hurries and recorded 48 tackles with 1.5 sacks. Multiple reports suggested he wanted to re-enter the transfer portal in 2024 but Alexander squashed the rumors and reaffirmed his commitment to the Trojans.
