“I was really happy about our team playing like we did Weeks 1, 2, and 3,” coach said Scott Loeffler, referring to BGSU’s win over Fordham and narrow losses to ranked foes Penn State and Texas A&M to start the season, via ToledoBlade. “That’s the team that we know, and that’s the team that we want to be: to play team football, which was really cool. A bunch of team football.”

"We started out OK and just sputtered on offense and gave up some explosives on defense, which makes it tough," CMU coach Jim McElwain said, via the team website. "I love these kids, they work their tails off. I just want to see them have success in the worst way. It's really going to be about direction as we get ready to get into MACtion."

Entering the game against Bowling Green, McElwain says he needs the team to get back on track and play more consistently.

"Just got to play with some consistency and take what they give you," McElwain said. "Don't try to do too much. That's what's so frustrating. We've got a great group of kids in that locker room that really care about the Chippewas, really care about Central Michigan. This is going to be a big gut check time about direction and the direction we're going to go is forward and get ready to go play the next game."

"We've got to get some things going offensively. Right now we've got to give (our players) answers and that's all part of the direction.

The Chippewas have struggled on offense and defense, and Central Michigan will have difficulty stopping Bowling Green on the road. The Falcons will be able to cruise to a lopsided win.
