As a high school senior, Brady Cook amassed 33 touchdowns and 3,194 yards. Brady was a three-star recruit and was ranked the number one quarterback in Missouri. Brady began his college career with the Missouri Tigers in 2020. Brady appeared in three games as a freshman and redshirted the rest of the season. As a freshman, he accumulated 72 yards passing and one touchdown.
After starting as a backup quarterback in 2021, Cook made his first start against the Army in the 2021 Armed Forces Bowl. He recorded 238 passing yards and a touchdown and rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown. Brady concluded the 2022 season by throwing for 2,739 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions and led Missouri to the 2022 Gasparilla Bowl. Cook led his side to an appearance in the 2023 Cotton Bowl Classic. He concluded the year with 20 passing touchdowns, 3,189 passing yards, and eight rushing touchdowns. Cook threw for 128 yards and a touchdown at the Cotton Bowl Classic. After leading his side to a 14–3 victory over Ohio State, Brady was announced as the game's offensive MVP. Cook suffered an injury in the 2024 season which ended his streak of 35 consecutive starts. However, Cook was back on the field after a one-game absence.
