Brent Pry, also known by his full name, Brenton James Pry, is the head coach of Virginia Tech Hokies in the ACC conference, as of December 2024. The former Penn State defensive coordinator (2016-2021) had his first stint with Virginia Tech from 1995 to 1997 as a graduate assistant. He started playing college football as a Safety at Maryville Scots in 1988 and later joined Buffalo Bulls, where he played from 1989 to 1991.

Pry started his coaching career in 1992 at Buffalo Bulls as a student coach, while being associated with other teams such as East Stroudsburg (1993-1994), Western Carolina (1998-1999), Louisiana–Lafayette (2002-2006), etc.
