Brian Kelly has been the head coach for the LSU Tigers since December 2022. Kelly was a linebacker for the Assumption Greyhounds from 1979-1982. Kelly received numerous recognitions for his successful coaching career, including the Home Depot Coach of the Year Award three times in 2009, 2012, and 2018. In 2012, he won the AP College Football Coach of the Year, Walter Camp Coach of the Year, Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year, and also earned an appearance in the BCS National Championship Game. In 2023, he helped Jayden Daniels win the Heisman Trophy. Kelly coached 15 players who were drafted in the first round of the NFL and drafted more than 100 players while managing Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, and LSU. In each of the 12 seasons, Kelly won at least 10 games.

Brian Kelly has been a coach for more than three decades, and every program he has managed has been a huge success. Kelly’s first head coaching job was at Grand Valley State, from 1991 to 2003, and he led the team to the Division II national championships twice. He signed for Central Michigan in 2004 and guided the program to the Mid-American Conference Championship in 2006. Kelly then committed to Cincinnati, helping the team to the Big East Championship in 2008 and 2009, and was undefeated in the 2009 regular season. In 2010, he was in charge of Notre Dame and set a program record of winning 113 games, beating Knute Rockne. In 2021, Kelly joined LSU, leading the Tigers to two consecutive 10-win seasons and an SEC Western Division championship in his first season.
