Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik has been non-commital about his future with the Tigers. Before the CFP matchup versus Texas, the quarterback brushed off questions about his future. He insisted he wouldn’t talk about 2025 until the season was over.

The junior from Austin, Texas could still opt to enter the NFL Draft, stay at Clemson, or transfer for his final year. If he enters the Draft, Klubnik doesn’t figure to be among the top quarterbacks selected.

A return to college looks more likely, but that doesn’t mean he will be staying in South Carolina.

Cade Klubnik finished the season with 3,003 yards, 33 touchdowns and five interceptions. Against the Longhorns, he kept the underdog Tigers in the game by passing for 336 yards, three scores and one pick.

If the Westlake High School product decides to transfer, there should be no shortage of suitors. Here are the best spots for him in 2025.

Top 5 Landing Spots for Clemson QB Cade Klubnik

#5. Indiana Hoosiers

Forget about the disappointing loss to Notre Dame, Indiana had a solid season. They will not benefit from a soft conference schedule next year, however, as they will face Oregon, Illinois, Iowa, and Penn State.

While they have a couple of signal caller waiting in the wings including Tayven Jackson, Klubnik gives Curt Cignetti the best chance to build on this season’s success. Following the CFP appearance with another successful season could really put Indiana in the college football map.

After Kurtis Rourke’s strong 2024 season, it’s not hard to imagine the Clemson QB thriving in Bloomington.

#4. Syracuse Orange

Kyle McCord had a solid season after leaving Ohio State for Syracuse before the 2024 season. He led the nation in passing yards with 4,326. With McCord and Michael Johnson Jr. out of eligibility, the Orange need a new starting quarterback.

Former LSU signal-caller Rickie Collins has committed to the Orange already. However, Cade Klubnik is an upgrade at the position. Syracuse was also competitive in 2024, and in a wide-open ACC, they could be a dark horse candidate if they land a top quarterback.

#3. Michigan Wolverines

Yes, the Wolverines have the No. 1 quarterback prospect in Tyler Underwood waiting in the wings. But after a disappointing 2024 season in which the offense was non-existent, finding an experienced quarterback could get Michigan back to relevancy.

The defense is strong and the Wolverines have some talent on offense. But a revolving door at the quarterback position doomed the maize and blue, averaging 133.6 passing yards per game.

Cade Klubnik could strengthen the offense and also give the quarterback one more shot at the College Football Playoff.

#2. Missouri Tigers

After a disappointing 2024 season, the Tigers must retool, as they will be losing a lot of talent through the NFL Draft, graduation, and the transfer portal. Brady Cook and Drew Pyne, their top two quarterbacks this season, are out of eligibility.

After breaking out in 2023, Mizzou looked primed to battle for a spot in the CFP. However, they were hit by injuries and disappointing play, falling flat in games against ranked teams. Cade Klubnik would come in from a strong program and could lay the foundation for a quick turnaround in Columbia.

#1. Oregon Ducks

The Ducks aren’t afraid of welcoming experienced quarterbacks from other programs. Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel have been successful in Eugene and Klubnik might be even more talented.

Gabriel finished the regular season with 3,558 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions, and will be looking to play on Sundays next season. Oregon should be loaded again, but getting another experienced signal-caller could keep them in the national championship chase for a second straight year.
