After months of anticipation, the EA Sports College Football 25 video game has finally launched around the world. The game returns after more than a decade of hiatus and fans around the world can now enjoy it with more advanced features.
Can you create a player in College Football 25?
EA Sports allows the creation of new players in College Football 25 aside from the players in each program. This can only be done in the Road to Glory mode, where a gamer takes on the challenge of being a college football player, with fascinating real-world experience.
“Live the life of a student-athlete with your created player and take home the Heisman as you build an unforgettable college football legacy,” EA Sports wrote. "Manage your weekly schedule, GPA and your image, earn Coach Trust to get more playing time, or use the transfer portal to get the time and the glory you deserve."
There are several options to start with on Road to Glory. Gamers can start with being an Elite, Blue Chip, Contributor or Underdog athlete. You can then go on to customize the profile of the player, including position, name, home state as well as the physical appearance of the player.
Does College Football 25 have real players?
College Football 25 has real-world players from 134 Football Bowl Subdivision programs with their likeness. Players eligible for the 2024 college football season were given the opportunity to either opt in or out of the game.
All players who opted in for the game were rewarded with $600 and a copy of the video game. This initially led to some litigations but EA Sports eventually came out victorious. The trio of Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter and Donovan Edwards featured on the cover of the game.
Who's the highest-rated player in College Football 25?
Prior to the official release of the video game, EA Sports released the overall rating of the top 100 players in the game. It featured a lot of exciting prospects in the landscape, rated according to EA Sports experts’ metrics.
Michigan’s linebacker Will Johnson is the highest-rated player in the game with an overall rating of 96. He was followed by LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell who also had 96, while Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II wraps up the top three with the same rating.
Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is the highest-rated quarterback in the game with an overall rating of 93, ranking No. 17 overall. Georgia’s quarterback Carson Beck closely followed him with a 93 overall rating and ranking No. 18 overall in the game.
