Amazon Prime Video’s documentary series "Coach Prime," which chronicles Deion Sanders’ journey as a coach, has captivated college football fans since its debut. The third season’s premiere date has been announced as Jan. 7.
The trailer teases behind-the-scenes footage of game days, intense practices and even Sanders bonding with players during fishing trips. It also highlights moments from the Buffs’ recent loss to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl.
The upcoming season will feature interviews with Sanders and his top players, emphasizing that this might be the final year Sanders coaches his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.
Fans’ reactions to the announcement have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

“Look forward to seeing West Virginia playing Colorado next season!” a fan wrote.
Amazon first launched the series in 2022, documenting Sanders’ third year at Jackson State. The initial four episodes went beyond football, delving into profound topics like the water crisis, player injuries and team expectations.
The second season, released in 2023, followed Sanders’ move to Boulder, capturing his inaugural year with the Colorado Buffaloes. The six episodes provided a look at his transition and the team’s rebuilding phase.
