EA Sports College Football 25 has been officially released on early access basis only. The game has been one of the most anticipated sports video game titles in a long time. A lot of people have been on the game as more than 700,000 users were playing at one point on Monday evening.
However, not everyone has been able to play the game yet as it does not officially release until Friday, July 19. The pre-order bonuses for the Deluxe and MVP editions included the early access while the standard edition did not.
Let's take a look at whether players will be able to upgrade to EA Sports College Football 25 right now.
Can you upgrade EA Sports College Football 25?
The answer to this question is yes, but there is a bit of an issue arising from doing so. In order to upgrade EA Sports College Football 25, the player must cancel their existing pre-order for the standard edition and then purchase either the Deluxe or MVP editions.
If you pre-ordered the game on the console, then you would have to contact customer support to cancel the pre-order and purchase one of the other two editions.
The Deluxe and MVP editions are still available to purchase but the pre-order bonuses will not be available. However, the early access will still be part of the game when you purchase it.
How did EA Sports College Football 25 change online ranked?
EA Sports College Football 25 has a different online ranked game mode than the Madden franchise does. They call it 'Road to the College Football Playoff' and it is a 12-game block where players can use any team of their choosing throughout and play online against another user.
The 12 games do not need to have the same team being used, but the programs are divided into three tiers. Winning games qualifies you for the College Football Playoff and gives users the chance to claim national championships online to showcase their ability.
