Central Michigan is a 14.5-point underdog on the road against Toledo. The over/under is set at 50.5 points.
The Chippewas are on a four-game losing streak and have not looked good as of late. In the loss to Bowling Green, Central Michigan's offense struggled as quarterback Jadyn Glasser went 5-7 for 57 yards.
With the loss, the Chippewas need to win out to become bowl-eligible.
"Obviously, we're not in a spot we want to be," CMU linebacker Jordan Kwiatkowski said, via the team website. "Four-game losing streak, let's say it how it is, it's not fun, it's not good. We've still got games to play; three weeks left, still bowl eligible if we win out. It's football, you've really got to keep attacking it day by day, week by week."
Central Michigan is led by Marion Lukes, who has rushed for 537 yards and four touchdowns. Jonah Pace, Jason Williams and Dakota Cochran all have 3.5 sacks to carry the team's defense.
Toledo, meanwhile, is coming off a thrilling comeback win over Eastern Michigan. The Rockets outscored the Eagles 22–9 and broke up a two-point conversion with no time left to win the game.
"It was a really resilient victory by our football team today," head coach Jason Candle said, via the team website. "I'm really proud of their effort. Some guys stepped up in some hard moments and did some really good things. It wasn't the usual suspects contributing, which makes me proud as a football coach. Our guys are showing serious attention to detail in how they practice and are seizing their moments when they're called upon in games. That's the sign of a really good program."
Toledo is led by Tucker Gleason, who has thrown for 1,896 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Connor Walendzak has rushed for 363 yards and a touchdown. Jerjuan Newton has 783 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
Defensively, Toledo is led by Braden Awls who has three interceptions, Cavon Butler has 2.5 sacks, and Maxen Hook has 83 tackles.
Central Michigan has struggled defensively this season, while Toledo's offense is legit. The Rockets should be able to score at will and cruise to a lopsided win to end the Chippewas' chances of becoming bowl-eligible.
Prediction: Toledo 34, Central Michigan 17
