While Georgia fell from No. 1 to No. 2 in the AP poll, the Bulldogs remain on top in the Coaches Poll. Despite a narrow 13-12 win over Kentucky, UGA remains No. 1 with coaches. But other teams have made leaps or drops. LSU continues to be outside the top 10 and are ranked 16. Here's a rundown on the post-Week 3 coaches poll.

Coaches Poll rankings After Week 3

Top 10 moves

For once, no one new moved into or out of the top 10 in the coaches poll. Indeed, only four teams within the top 10 made any movement. Ohio State was off in week 3, and the previously No. 2 ranked Buckeyes flipped spots with an impressive Texas squad that had been third.

Meanwhile, Tennessee jumped from ninth to seventh on the strength of its 71-0 win over Kent State. Penn State slid from seventh to eighth, and are in a tie for that spot with Missouri. The Nittany Lions were off this week.

New teams and drop outs

Two new entrants reached the top 25. Texas A&M, which began the year in the top 25, returned to 24th off a 33-20 win at Florida. Meanwhile, UNLV, 3-0 off a win over Kansas, entered the poll for the first time in 2024 at 25th.

Conversely, two teams previously ranked fell from the poll. Previous no. 18 Arizona was crushed by Kansas State 31-7 and fell from the top 25. Likewise, former No. 22 Washington fell to in-state rival Washington State and dropped from the top 25 altogether.

Biggest jumps and falls

By far the biggest jump of the week was made by UNLV, who was ninth among the "receiving votes" teams before jumping to 25th. Of the other teams, no team made a move up of more than two spots. As noted above, Tennessee jumped two spots. Other teams making the same leap were Iowa State (No. 23 to No. 21), Nebraska (No. 24 to No. 22), Memphis (No. 25 to No. 23) and Texas A&M (up to No. 24).

Falls were similarly most notable among the two teams noted above for sliding out of the top 25. Nobody could top Washington's fall from No. 22 to near the bottom of the receiving votes category (44th, if counted). Arizona also fell from 18th to 28th (or third among teams in the receiving votes category).

Within the rest of the poll, no team moved down more than one spot, with several of those teams being inactive in Week 3.
