Cole Cabana is an American college football player who has decided to continue with Michigan Wolverines for his second year of college football. Cabana began his football career at Dexter High School where he set a number of school records during his three-year varsity career. In his junior season, Cabana rushed 233 times for 1,688 yards and led the Dreadnaughts to a 5-5 record. As a senior in 2022, Cabana recorded 2,434 all-purpose yards with 27 touchdowns. He also delved into track and field and was twice selected as an All-American sprinter. The four-star athlete from Dexter helped the Dreadnaughts reach post-season in three consecutive years. Cabana held offers from other schools such as Boston College, Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan State, Purdue, Syracuse, Temple, and Yale before deciding to commit to Michigan Wolverines.

Cabana was rated the No.2 player in the state of Michigan in the 2023 recruiting class and arrived at Ann Harbour as the highest-rated recruit in the 2023 recruiting class. In his debut campaign for the Wolverines, Cabana appeared in only one game against Bowling Green and recorded six yards on two carries earning his first varsity letter. The program did not see much of Cabana during his rookie campaign as the four-star running back spent most of his time learning from the sidelines. Cabana feels comfortable in his second year and will be pushing for a starting role going into the 2024 season.
