EA Sports College Football 25 dropped on July 19, giving fans plenty of time to comb through each player's ratings from all of the 134 included FBS schools.
These are the first ratings for each player, but they can fluctuate via live roster updates throughout the season depending on how they perform.
Here's a look at three underrated players from Big Ten schools in the first roster ratings of College Football 25.
3 underrated Big Ten players in College Football 25
#3, Donovan Edwards, Michigan
Michigan Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards is the lowest-rated player on the cover of the standard edition of College Football 25. Edwards is a 91 overall with fellow cover stars Quinn Ewers at 92 and Travis Hunter at 95.
Edwards ranks No. 49 in the top 100 players released on the game's website. He'll have the opportunity to boost his rating this season as he takes over as the true leader of Michigan's backfield.
He carried the ball 119 times for 497 yards and five touchdowns last season. That was a step down from his 2022 campaign, in which he tallied 991 yards and seven touchdowns on 140 carries.
#2, Jabbar Muhammad, Oregon
Washington transfer Jabbar Muhammad will be joining the Oregon Ducks in 2024 as they move from the Pac-12 to the Big 10. Muhammad joins a loaded Oregon defense with a 91 overall rating.
Muhammad earned a speed rating of 91 with an acceleration of 96. He is the No. 65 highest-rated player in the game and the eighth-highest-rated CB.
He finished last season with Washington, leading the Pac-12 in pass breakups with 16 and recording three interceptions. If the dominant defensive back can shine on an intimidating Ducks defense, he could easily boost his overall rating to place him alongside the top-rated corners in College Football 25.
Xavier Nwankpa, Iowa
Iowa safety Xavier Nwankpa returns for another season in what is projected to be a dominant Hawkeyes defense in 2024. Nwankpa struggled with a thumb injury during his freshman season but bounced back with a strong campaign in 2024.
He finished last season with a career-high 42 total tackles with two pass breakups and one interception.
Nwankpa earned a 90 overall rating in College Football 25, which makes him the No. 97 highest-rated player in the game. He has great ratings when it comes to speed, acceleration and jumping, but he has 73 strength and 85 awareness, which is a bit low for a defensive back in this game.
